New Post

Hey there,

If you’re anything like me,

You’ve probably watched so many:

“My daily morning routine”

“The morning routine that made a millionaire”

Type of videos.

And to be honest, they are satisfying to watch.

But have you actually applied it to yourself?

Have you ever thought:

Did the “morning routine” make them a millionaire?

Or they have the time and the luxury to have a nice “morning routine” after they made their money.

Don’t get me wrong, I do love my routines,

But I don’t like these fake “morning routine to become a millionaire”.

They do the randomest shit, like cold plunge, meditation, journaling..

Which are good habits to have, but are NOT going to make you money!!

They claim to be “productive” by doing all this, but they never show how they actually WORK to earn the money.

You tell me, %firstname%, how showering in cold water is going to make you rich…

It won’t!

But people still fall for these videos.

Routines should help you get closer to your goals,

Not pull you in the other direction.

And right now, your goal is probably to make money.

So, let me share with you my routine that actually helps me achieve my goals (while still keeping the healthy habits):

I’ll split it into two:

1st- You have a job or you go to school

2nd- You’re a freelancer or someone who works from home, or are trying to work from home.

Let’s start with the first one, because that's the majority:

Step 1 -

I won’t ask you to wake up at 4 am or whatever,

Because you’re probably not getting enough sleep as it is,

Waking up early to go to work or school.

Once you’re done with your work/school, I would recommend you follow this routine (this is what I did when I was in University and also sometimes had a part-time job):

Step 2 -

Rest (guilt-free).

Eat. Chill. Recharge. Burnout doesn’t make you money.

Step 3 -

Once you’re recharged, give 2 hours of your time to your goal:

To make money online, and actually doing the work,

Practice your skills, outreach to leads, anything that moves you forward.

Don’t spend this time just watching videos and claiming that you’re “learning”, that’s for another time.

Step 4 -

Workout.

Whatever you prefer, gym, home workout, give it your all.

Step 5 -

By now it’s probably night, so go on a walk, quick 20-30 minutes.

I guarantee you’re going to sleep much better.

That’s it, you see how this routine helps you move towards your goals while still keeping your health in check!

Now for the 2nd type of people, the work-from-home crowd (including me currently):

Step 1 -

Sleep until you wake up, we have the luxury to do that 😎

Step 2 -

Start tackling the main task of the day.

Could be a client’s project, outreaching, anything.

But spend 1-2 hours on the hardest task, because you’re at your peak when you wake up.

Step 3 -

Have a small meal, just so you have the energy to keep going!

Step 4 -

Go on a 20-30 minute walk.

I noticed that a morning walk helps me to come up with great ideas for my work.

Step 5 -

Workout.

Once again, whatever you prefer, home or gym.

Step 6 -

Work again, but this time you don’t have to focus that hard, complete all of the smaller tasks, which might take only 5-10 minutes each.

This helps you to unload your brain.

Step 7 -

Do whatever you want for the rest of your day.

You can either keep working, eat, go on a walk again, or play.

Did you notice how simple yet effective these routines are?

Nothing special, just a baseline structure that you can follow and add on to based on your unique situation.

One tip that’ll help you even further is to write down everything you’re supposed to do the night before.

So, before going to bed, just write down tomorrow’s tasks, so you don’t have to think about them!

Want to organize your day without all the “productivity porn”?

I made a simple routine template you can use and tweak — get it here.

See you in the next one,

Aryan.
